The main attack vector

The main attack vector is email, with 82% of attacks in the last 30 days occurring through it. Almost every email with similar topics contains malicious links. After clicking on this link, the victims download a malicious file, usually in the format.exe, .xls, or.doc.Experts distinguish two examples of such letters: the first subject is «Urgent information letter» and the letter contains a file.exe which, when clicked, installed an infostealer program capable of collecting information such as login information, usernames, and passwords from the user’s computer. The email contains a malicious link. Further investigation revealed that it was used to redirect traffic to a phishing site with a medical theme that tried to imitate a Canadian pharmacy.
